Get Out!

Sunday we had some really nice weather. If e were home I would have been out doing yard work at 8AM. Here I am just not inspired to pull weeds. I ran to Target to get a few things and when I got home everyone was either watching a TV or sitting in front of a computer. I had a mini freak out and kicked the kids out of the house to get some fresh air. I went out and pulled weeds for awhile as calmed down.

When I was ready I went back inside and we decided to talk the kids for a walk . We ended up following a path that we had been driving my for months that looked nice. We saw turtles and fish in the river and lots of ducks and squirrels. We ended up walking for 45 minutes. The kids thought we were trying to kill them, but it was nice.

After supper, I was ready to get into my Sunday night prepare-for the week rut when The boy remembered that I owed him a board game. I hesitated but decided to do it – I know our time with him is limited – he will turn into a brooding teenage pod-person at any moment so he went and picked a Lego game.

We all raced around the board trying to collect the pieces we needed for our models and while trying to steal key pieces from others. Mike gave up and his goal became stealing as many of the kids pieces as he could. The Boy won – no Hobo high fives today. It was a nice way to end the weekend.
