Girls Day

Since The Boy was supposed to be at Camp, we had a Girls Day planned. We went and did most of it anyway, but after I returned all the food I had bought for the cancelled Scout Camp! Off to the salon – got pedicures and manicures. We went for the first time in January just before the cruise and I am now hooked. It is so relaxing.

After that The Girl got her hair cut. She got it cut short and it looks so cute. She is a little bit worried that it may be too short, but it looks great on her – she looks like a little teenager now.

Next it was off to her favorite shop – we had gotten some coupons in the mail and just had to use them. She got a few nice tops and them a few extras with her allowance money.

I was wiped after that so we headed home – Mike had taken The Boy to a movie on Friday so he had volunteered to take The Girl on Saturday, which left me free to go to The Boy’s repeat performance of Governing Alice. He was awesome, again. I thought the kids were better this time around – more relaxed, they weren’t being judged this time and they really seemed to be enjoying themselves.
