Mother’s Day

This was the most awesome Mother’s day ever.

The Girl woke me up at 6:30 am she was so excited to give me her present. We convinced her the first present would be to wait until 8AM to wake me.

8AM on the dot she was back I the room – she had made a little collection of her toys for me. A few trinkets to take to work and keep on my desk – I have a small collection there already.

The Boy had made me a nice card - “You’re a loser – But you are my loser” It’s incredibly sweet if you know the inside joke of ‘Loser’ with our family.

Next I got toast and tea. Once slice with jam and one slice with honey. I absolutely hate eating in bed, but the toast was yummy. The teas was good too – Hubby supervised. The last time she made it I insisted that she didn’t put any sugar in it. Hubby checked- she did, but she kept shaking the spoon until there were only 5 grains of sugar left! He snuck some in for me. My mom still gives me a hard time about having sugar in my tea. She says I’m too old for that now.

I was allowed to lounge in bed reading magazines for awhile, but soon I could here them conspiring out there. They all came running in to tell me that the garage door had been left open and the truck had been broken into. Hubby said I did a good acting job and we raced out to survey the ‘damage’ – a new firepit for the backyard! Very nice. We will defiantly put that to good use when we get back to Canada.
