The boy is off at Scout Camp. The Girls loves it when she is an only child. We took off to Six Flags for the day and she got to pick all the rides.
Traditionally the kids go on this Sombrero ride first. Since The Boy wasn’t there I agreed to go wither her. I got quite a fright when I realized that is wasn’t the little kiddie ride I had assumed it was.
Next on to the snake ride. The Girl was thrilled that she got to sit by herself instead of sharing with her brother or me. She whooped and hollered the whole was down. Me and Hubby did to – at her to hold on – she had both arms up in the air and we were scared to death that she was going to fly out of the seat.
We did all our regular rides and we also tried some new ones. We finally convinced The Girl to go on the rocket – it’s like the Pirate Ship, but it goes upside down. She did it and said she would never do it again – I can live with that. I think I am getting to old for this crap.
We found a roller coaster that The girl was tall enough for – she wasn’t’ too sure since it had a loop in it. You go through the loop and then you go backwards through it again. She kept her eyes closed the whole way, but when it was over, she was grinning from ear to ear – she was so proud of herself – it was defiantly worth the concussion I got on the thing.
Next was another old fashion wooden coaster that you had to go through a tunnel to get to. It was much tamer, but a rough ride just the same. It scrambled what little brain I had left.
Looks like we can get in one more trip before we head back. That will be the last one where the kids get to actually spend money. They have been really good about not asking for stuff each time we go.
I wonder if I could get away with telling them we will go once more and then running out of time – probably not.
