Drive Home Day 1: Dallas - San Antonio

We checked out of the hotel and meet the crew at the house. The truck was there too. As the guys started loading we went behind them and vacuumed the rooms as they emptied them

The Girl had forgotten a stuffed mouse ‘Nibbles’ at a friend’s house so she went over to get it. No one was home. She was so upset “I can see him, he’s right there in the window and I can’t get to him’.

The guys finished loading just after 2pm. We got all packed and headed over to say bye to the neighbors as The Girls friend drove by on their way home. We walked over and liberated Nibbles. We got all our good-byes said – I’m not good at them at all. Took some pictures of everyone and piled into the truck.

The traffic through Dallas was awful. We sat for 45 min trying to get to our exit to the next interstate. We got off the highway at one point and bypassed an interchange – we figured we saved ourselves almost an hour.

It was still late by the time we got into the hotel in San Antonio. Although we had planned to walk around and see the lights of the river walk, we never quite made it. I barely made it to the room.
