Drive Home Day 9: Yellowstone - Somewhere in Wyoming

We got up and headed up to the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone. We stopped by the mud volcanoes and walked around the trail. We freaked out when we came around a corner and there was a buffalo lying beside the walkway. Everyone was taking pictures of him and he seemed quite content to let them.

Next we got to the canyon falls. It was so beautiful. Not at all what you expect to see when you think of Yellowstone. We drove around to the North Entrance and saw a wolf and a lot more Elk and Buffalo. We left from the North Entrance and ended up back in Montana. We didn’t get back into Wyoming until the end of the day.

While we were in Montana we realized that we would be going by Little Big Horn so we stopped by for a quick look and the official pee visit. Unfortunately the pee visit happened in the worst gas station restroom I have ever been in. The odor wafted out of the bathrooms and maintained their power for a good 10 feet. I wasn’t able to identify the stench. It wasn’t the normal stale urine/ powerful disinfectant combination. It was something far worse and I suspect, not human.
