Drive Home Day 3: El Paso, Tx - Tucson, Az

We drove from El Paso to Tucson Arizona this morning. We had clear skies and little traffic. We were talking to the Boy when we finally drove over the Texas state line. He let out a big whoop for everyone in the car to hear.

They Boy asked us to bring him back a tumble weed. We saw a bunch by the side of the road so we stopped and got the Girl to hold one up so we could take a picture of it for him.

Once we got into New Mexico we started seeing signs for The Thing – in 180 miles. The mystery of the desert. After three hours of signs we had to stop. It was $1 each to go and see – it was well worth it. It had kept us talking for 3 hours, we had a good laugh with 4 other people how were thinking the same thing.

We got into Tucson and went to the Saguaro National park and drove the 8 mile loop. It was awesome. The girl loved getting to sit up between the two front seats more than the actual cactus. We got there only 30 min before closing so we didn’t have a lot of time so we only did a ¼ mile hike path. That was more than enough in the heat. It hit 43 C while we were there.
