Drive Home Day 12: Madison Wisconson - Windsor, Ontario

We were going to stop in Chicago, but we were really beginning to be excited about being home. We decided that Chicago was close enough to home that there would be a good chance of us coming back to see it.

It was actually exciting for us where we started seeing signs for the border crossing. We didn’t know what to expect since we would be crossing back into Canada at the end of along weekend, but we all thought it was fitting that we would be entering Canada on Canada Day.

We ended up going through the Tunnel, it was fun because at one point they have the border painted on the wall and we teased The Girl because for a moment we were in Canada and we had left her behind in the US.

We didn’t end up waiting for long at the border. We had to go into the immigration office to get a form stamped for returning the car, but since we had taken in to Texas with us, there was no problem bringing it back.

First stop was Tim Hortons. Coffee and bagels for us and a hot chocolate and donut for The Girl.
It’s nice to be home.
